About the Course
Learn the qualities that resilient people possess and in-depth ways in which runners can take action to improve these qualities within themselves.
We will review the benefits of maintaining connection with others, and tangible ways to build connections within the running community.
We will discuss what healthy thinking entails and techniques to improve your thought process through self-reflection for cognitive reappraisal, positive reframing, and acceptance.
We will discuss the benefits of mind-body wellness and how to improve your sense of well-being through mindfulness, mindful running, gratitude, and developing a genuinely positive mindset.
We will discuss how to cultivate a sense of purpose and meaning through goal-setting and getting involved in the running community.
MEET OUR INSTRUCTOR
Presented by Allie Caminti,
Certified Run Coach
Meet Allie, a USECA & USATF Certified Run Coach who also has her masters degree in art therapy.
Allie has been running for over 20 years, both competitively and recreationally. After 11 years of working in mental health, and 20 years of running, she has come to realize that the two are intertwined. Physical wellness and mental wellness are deeply connected. In pursuing physical goals, it is imperative that we also nurture our minds. That is the motivation behind this course and something that she hopes we all learn to apply in our lives.
